eg: I decided to go out rather than staying with him at home.

2.连接两个形容词

6.连接两个动词不定式(可带to,可不带to)

eg: We decided to give him a warning rather than (to) punish him.

1.表示“不同于”。

eg: The ending of this story is quite other than what you expected.

这个故事的结局和你想的大不相同。

2.表示“除了……”，相当于except。

eg: Nobody believes him other than you.
